Here is the ring I was looking at:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1-85-DIAMOND-PRINCESS-SOLITAIRE-WEDDING-RING-BRIDAL-SET_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a570Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1308QQ_trksidZp3911Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem180309336441QQitemZ180309336441QQptZWeddingQ5fSetsQQsalenotsupported#ebayphotohosting

They have a 99.2% feedback and over 1000 feedbacks left. If these are real diamonds which I assume they are, and they are appraised for so much, then why are they being sold for so cheap? In this economical downturn, this is about all I can afford right now and I can’t wait to ask my g/f to marry me. Can anyone help me with my situation or give me advice on this seller? All help and opinions are welcome!

If they use pay pal then you can trust them

I have had my wedding ring set for 3 years and I have lost 3 diamonds every year. My husband bought my ring from Helzberg and was told yesterday that diamonds on the side of the ring are more prone to fall out. I am beginning to think that my ring is not quality at all but I cannot return it now. Is this normal to lose 3 dimaonds in 3 years? I never take my ring off when cleaning, taking a shower, or washing my hands. Could this make me lose a diamond?

My center stone fell out about two years after I got it. It is heart-shaped and the jeweler explained to me that it’s hard to put that in the prongs because of the shape. He also told me to take it off when I wash my hair because every time my hair snags in it, it loosens the prongs. When the prongs get too loose, of course your stones are going to fall out.

I also had an episode where I took the ring into another jewelery shop and one of my smaller stones fell out (I have two peridot in my wedding ring…my husband’s birthstone, and we also got married in August) She put it in her fancy cleaning machine, and brought it out missing a paridot. I told her to go back and find it, and it was in her machine. She wanted like $50 to put it back in. The jeweler who made the ring put it back for free. I think she may have intentionally knocked it out to try to get money out of me!

The ring I bought my fiance’ is 14kt gold and has 56 square diamonds invisible set. It is not a traditional wedding band though. He is currently deployed and will be home and he has not seen the ring yet. He purchased my ring and I have not seen it yet either. I put a lot of thought into purchasing this ring, because I wanted to buy something that was mass produced and ordinary or that there are many of. I bought the ring from a local store after I searched the internet and many many stores around the area. The only ring that is similar to the ring I bought is at this link http://www.itshot.com/detail.aspx?Product_ID=A0176
the only difference from the ring on this link and the one I bought is that the width of the ring is wider and there are a lot more diamonds. I know that he has no idea what kind of ring he would like because he is not used to wearing rings, but he has an incredible sense of fashion and high end clothes and jewelry. Look at the ring on the link and be honest wit me
I made a few clerical errors in writing. I meant to say that I wanted to get something that was not mass produced. Also the question is more of a thing about, if you were in the military and came home to marry your fiance whom you asked to marry you. Would you be happy to see this ring waiting for you?
p.S. I already purchased the ring that I described from a local store and I got it for a very good price.

i was wed twice in my life, the first time simply and informally, the second time formally–but my husband and i both put great thought into the wedding rings, to give what we thought the other would appreciate the most.

i can see by what you said about your fiance being very stylish why you chose this ring, and i can see, per the link, that the one in the link opposed to what you say the local one is like has got to be really spectacular and very becoming of your beloved, one of the few courageous and proud young men that puts his life on the line each day in our armed forces. he deserves such a classy, beautiful ring that is not just like a wedding ring–it is unique. yes, it is not like a traditional wedding band, but that doesn’t matter.

what does matter are a couple of things: YOU thought about HIM for a long time as you searched for his ring. not many brides even know to look for, or are encouraged to, find their fiance any type of wedding ring. you spent TIME considering what he likes as you shopped. you certainly did something special in getting him a ring from a local merchant rather on the internet, because the jeweler knows the quality of the stones and told you of that, as well as that you are being patriotic in doing business locally.

i think all these considerations make this really a special wedding ring–albeit that it looks something like a man’s cocktail ring or one he might buy for his right hand if not married. but it is such a special ring, very classy, i am sure.

what i hope you are not worried about is what anyone else will say about the ring that you yourself, his bride to be, took so much time and consideration of him to get for him. after all, the marriage is a union of you and he, is it not? others really have no knowledge of why you picked THAT ring for him, because none of them has or will know him as you do. don’t let anyone else’s opinions or fear of some etiquette rule sway you. the worse that can happen is that HE would prefer a different type of ring, yes? since you bought this from a local merchant, you’d be able to exchange it, i am sure.

here is a way you can figure out if he will like it as a wedding band: go to any jeweler or sit at the monitor using the net looking at both similar and dissimilar rings for him, just to get a feeling of which ones he likes, and why he likes them. the why is very important. try to get to that web site you link to here to ask him if he likes THAT ring, but sort of slipping it by him so that he won’t figure out what you are doing. if you see that he loves that ring, then by all means, be sure your ring bearer brings it on the wedding ring pillow to the alter. if he prefers an entirely different type of wedding ring (find out why), then go back to your jeweler to make an exchange.

i think it is wonderful how much time you put into considering HIM when you chose this ring. that is what counts, isn’t it? does the current or past or future "fasion trend" count at all? nope. do what makes each one of you happy, and keep doing that all your lives and enjoy your wedding, your marriage, your home, your children, growing old together, and all other things that make a marriage a bond not to be interferred with by others. what god hath bringeth together let no man put asunder (even yourselves).

good luck and much happiness!
