Wedding Band Sets

I currently own a .25 carat solataire engagement ring with a plain band, and a 4 prong setting. We went to look at wedding rings today, and while I found some that were nice, they were all so ‘typical’. I want something unique, that isnt worn by a million other women out there. I would like a little sparkle and diamonds to it, but not too gaudy. I also like the ‘antique’ look, but with my plain flat band, I’m not sure it will look right? Do you have any pictures of a solitaire plain band engagement ring/wedding band sets that look good together, or any ideas of a unique ring to pair with my solitaire? Thanks!

I love your ring, the band with the pinched setting is really pretty.
First off, not every wedding band will match/fit, since your e-ring isn’t part of a set. You need to find one with a band similar in width and finish (my rings have the flat band like yours, but came in a set) – as well as being able to fit under the centre stone.
Using a wrap or enhancer is one good idea, too – you’ll need to try those on in person to see what type fits, and isn’t too much bling.

what size total carrot weight for a low/middle class income?

Depends on the 4 C’s. Cut, Clarity, Color, Carat. You can get bigger Carat size if you get lower quality Clarity or Color. Or get a real nice clear diamond at a smaller Carat. Or if you have a lot of money get big Carat and good Calrity Cut and Color.
Mine is smaller (.25Carat) but is flawless in all other areas. Beautiful!

Getting a divorce…should I take the rings to a pawn shop, get an appraisal, try a cash4gold.com type deal, or ebay? thank you

Pawn shops pay less than scrappers. Scrappers pay half or less than the value of the gold. Cash4Gold.com will rip you off, and ebay is full of insane losers. If I were you I’d take it to a jeweler, find out what they’re offering for it, and then figure its worth at least 3 times that much.

I bought my fiance’s one carat wedding band on overstock.com for literally half the price of similar rings at the mall stores and local jewelers. They have a more limited selection, but I saw wedding band sets on there. Also you can pay $20 for their "Club O" and get 5% off all your purchases for a year and free shipping. Buying it when I got the ring payed for the membership fee and $26 dollars more off. The mall stores are a rip off though, I recommend NOT going to them for a good deal. They have cheap deals, sure, but they are on cheap items.

im only 17 years old and i would love to give my parents wedding ring set. Also any suggestions what kind they would want? They’ve only been married for 23 years.

Wait for their 25th anniversary and do something big. a wedding ring set should be given to them by each other, not by their child (although it is a LOVELY thought) on their 25th do some HUGE surprise party for them. Invite all their family and friends and have fun. Decorate, make some collages or scrap book of wedding pictures or something and have fun with it!

I think it’s really nice and would like to get it made up with diamond and platinum.

It’s lovely. Very classic and clean design. Of course – it platinum and diamond – it will look gorgeous!
